Our fresh crabs are steam cooked and then allowed to cool. The meat is hand-picked, graded, placed in cans, hermetically sealed, and pasteurized. Pasteurization is a heat treatment process that destroys natural pathogenic microorganisms to extend shelf life without adding artificial preservatives. Once pasteurized, the product has a shelf-life of over more than 12 months in cans under proper refrigeration.
These jumbo pieces are whole lump pieces of fresh crab meat, each weighing between 2-5 Grams per piece, placed inside the can. This is ideal for Canapes, served together with omega-rich salmon, crab meat pasta, and many more restaurant-stylepresentation dishes.
